The 2022 JBA Speed Shop
Race Season is in Full Swing!

Back-to-back season opening vintage road races by SVRA on our west coast means let J. Bittle out!

Through the Fog of Competition JBA Wins!

After a great day of racing on Saturday, the #29 JBA Historic Trans Am 1968 Mustang  Placed 4th in Race 1 in the 16 car field of the Historic Trans Am Group. A best J. Bittle Lap of Sears Point  ever was timed at a 1:56:1 in practice for qualifying.

Overnight and up until the race start, work on the #29 Hinchcliff-Ross Vintage Trans Am car kept us jumping and wrenching. Replaced the hard shifting Ford Top Loader with our  back-up transmission and  replaced a failing distributor  cap that had caused the miss.

Now, we are ready.

When the officials lined us up for the Sunday, main race, the front  6 cars of the field were inverted.  Fastest cars at the back of the grid, putting us 14th back.  All the cars we chased on Saturday were now behind us.  Leaving the entire pack in front of the #29 car and the quick cars climbing on our six.

Challenge Accepted!

Let the Fog of Competition Return. . .
