Huge turnout for Coffee & Cars at JBA Speed Shop this morning. More than just our monthly sunrise get together, this event was a tribute to fallen ex-Navy SEAL Ty Woods who was a big-time car guy, long-time JBA customer and treasured friend. Senior Chief Petty Officer Tyrone Snowden Woods Sr., a U.S. Navy SEAL (ret.), was 41 when he died Sept. 12, 2012 after defending the U.S. diplomatic post in Benghazi, Libya. JBA set up a collection for Ty’s legacy—his 4-month old baby son Kai. It was a cool, crisp dawn but hot coffee, a bright sun and burning rubber thawed the morning chill! Thank you to everyone who came out for this event, especially those who donated to the Ty Woods Memorial Fund. If you would like to contribute, please go to www.stayclassy.org/tywoods.
