We are having a charity raffle and are hoping to raise some funds for one of our favorite charities. The raffle tickets will be for sale over the weekend and there will be a table where you can see our posted tickets to check for your prize. Donations will also be accepted. There will be a confidential depository and JBA will make sure anyone interested receives a 501c3 certificate as is available and documentable.
Warrior Foundation-Freedom Station (WF-FS) is a local 501c3 Non-Profit providing transition housing, training, education and life skills to service members that have been medically retired due to severe injuries or brain trauma suffered in combat. The Iraqi and Afghan veterans reside in a communal setting that provides assistance while the injured recover and regain the dignity afforded by independent living. The individual 750 sq ft cottages are within a Segway commute to the Naval Medical Center, Balboa. Approximately 90% of every donation dollar is used to maintain the facility/veterans programs offered by WF-FS.
