To celebrate the life of the American legend Carroll Hall Shelby, on Wednesday May 30th, at 6:55 PST Shelby owners and fans gathered across the world for the “Rev Your Shelby” salute. In San Diego, the event was organized by the Shelby American Automobile Club, hosted by J. Bittle and held at JBA Performance Center. A fantastic combination of Cobra’s, GT350′s, GT500′s, Ford GT’s and Ford-powered race cars assembled at JBA. Tri-tip, hamburgers and hot dogs were skillfully prepared by the Chuckwagon Guy. Rocking tunes were cranked out by the Stilettos. A live webcast from the Peterson Museum in Los Angeles was projected inside the shop…but the real show was the crazy-cool collection of cars. At 6:55 pm, everyone climbed in their rides and rev’d their engines as a salute to Mr. Shelby. It was a goose bumps moment for everyone. Special thanks to the Shelby Club, the Chuckwagon Guy, the Stilettos and everyone that came out and made this such a spectacular event! See the pictures for more of the story.
