JBA was invited to speak at the June meeting of the San Diego Region of the Shelby American Automobile Club on June 17, 2010 at Casa Machado next to Montgomery Airfield. After the club enjoyed a fine dinner that featured multiple margaritas and multiple fly-bys, club senior adviser Steve McKay conducted the official business. Then J. Bittle reviewed his early involvement in motorsports including his first race (lawn mowers!) which J won. He also described how he came to own his 1967 Shelby GT500. Next, J introduced Bruce Tucker for a presentation on custom tuning late-model fuel injected vehicles. After the tech talk, the meeting got really interesting as we headed out to the parking lot to see (and hear) Chuck’s brand new 2011 5.0L Mustang GT. It’s a stunner, and fast too.
